Dr. E. Calvin Beisner is a founder of and the national spokesman for the Cornwall Alliance for the Stewardship of Creation and serves on the pastoral staff of Holy Trinity Presbyterian Church in Broward County, Florida.
Dr. Beisner is a former associate professor of historical theology and social ethics at Knox Theological Seminary, where he taught church history, ethics, apologetics, logic, systematic theology, and non-Christian religions. Before Knox he taught for eight years at Covenant College as associate professor of interdisciplinary studies in economics, government, and public policy. He is also an adjunct fellow of the Acton Institute for the Study of Religion and Liberty; an adjunct scholar of the Committee for a Constructive Tomorrow; and a fellow of the Institute on Religion and Democracy.
A short time ago, “climate-gate” was exposed. This was the release of thousands of e-mails and computer code showing that the scientists behind global warming have fabricated, suppressed and exaggerated data along with using computer programs that intentionally magnified warming and minimized cooling.
Now on the heels of that Dr. Beisner reported interesting news concerning Dr. Phil Jones, the former longtime director of the Climatic Research Unit at the University of East Anglia in England. Over the past 20 years Dr. Jones has provided some of the most important research concerning man-made global warming. Last Saturday in an interview with the BBC, he admitted he did not believe the debate on climate change is over as others claim. He also admitted that there’s been no statistically significant global warming since 1995 and that the medieval warm period may have been warmer than the recent warming period of the 1970’s through the ‘90’s.
The second half of the program switched gears, as Matt Barber of Liberty Counsel joined Jim to discuss President Obama’s latest legislative move. In a decision that goes directly against his promise for transparent government, Obama intends to write his own version of the health care legislation and attach it to the budget, using the procedure known as “reconciliation” to eliminate the need for any Republican votes.

Late-breaking news reports that President Obama intends to write his own version of the health care legislation and attach it to the budget, using the procedure known as “reconciliation”, designed to remove minor differences between House and Senate versions of a bill. Apparently it will now be used to eliminate the need for any Republican votes, as only a simple majority is needed to approve a "reconciled" bill.
