Avi Lipkin is an author, speaker, and co-founder of Israel Today Magazine. He has served 30 years in the Israeli Defense Forces and has served two years as Senior Editor and translator in the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office. He has written numerous books under the pen-name of Victor Mordecai including: Is Fanatic Islam a Global Threat? His latest book is called: Islam Prophesied in the Book of Genesis.

Through hijacking attempts in the’60’s and ‘70’s, Israel learned that the best cure is prevention. In comparing Israel’s El Al Airline to the airlines here in America, Avi notes how he once told American airline captains and security people that we were “sitting ducks.” Avi noted that the response he received was that El Al was paranoid and that no one would dare do it to us.

Avi’s prediction proved correct as 9-11 is still fresh in the minds of many Americans. Now Americans are dealing with news of the “underwear bomber” on Christmas Day followed by the security breach at New Jersey’s Newark Airport.

Perhaps this should not surprise us as Avi details his account of a major U.S. airport that employed a veil-wearing Muslim woman who was part of airport security screening.

From here the conversation shifts as Avi gives four reasons why he believes there will be war with Iran. They include:

1—The nuclear threat to the world and Israel.
2—To free the people of Iran and create an alternative regime.
3—The Iranian economy.
4—Iran is a Shiite Muslim state while Saudi Arabia is a Sunni state.

Avi outlines Barak Obama’s position in this scenario, the influence of Saudi Arabia in determining Obama’s Middle East foreign policy, Saudi influence on Wall Street, and the effect our relationship with the Saudi’s has had in forming America’s aversion to profiling.
