Brannon reported that conservative commentator Glenn Beck has openly verbalized what many people have probably thought. Beck fears that the Obama administration has a framework already in place that could allow them to seize power overnight.
These thoughts from Beck validate what Brannon has been saying on past Crosstalk broadcasts. He believes this administration is intentionally collapsing the economy to make us vulnerable for an attack so that the government can step in and implement their police state.
Brannon then cites a number of factors that seem to be playing into this theory:
--The current administration has authorized the Attorney General to appoint a special prosecutor to determine whether a criminal investigation of the CIA is warranted for the manner in which captured terrorists were interrogated. This makes the CIA look like a bigger threat to the Obama administration than any terrorist group.
--Senator Charles Grassley from Iowa is concerned about hyperinflation. There is historic precedent for creating this type of economic atmosphere in order to establish a socialist system.
--Why is the Center for Disease Control having to pay people to take the swine flu shot?
