Listen:RealAudio | Windows Media | MP3 | Order Tape or CD

Dr. David Prentice is Senior Fellow for Life Sciences at Family Research Council. He spent nearly 20 years as Professor of Life Sciences at Indiana State University, and Adjunct Professor of Medical and Molecular Genetics at Indiana University School of Medicine.

Dr. Prentice wrote a comprehensive review of adult stem cell research for the U.S. President's Council on Bioethics. His defense of Adult Stem Cell Treatments was published by Science in January 2007.

This Crosstalk reports on the latest advances in non-embryonic stem cell research. In one instance, Chinese scientists have produced live mice from stem cells that were reprogrammed after being retrieved from the skin tissue of adult mice.

Does adult stem cell research overcome all the ethical and medical problems associated with embryonic stem cell research? What kind of cures are possible with adult stem cell research? How do the government and the major media respond to the incredible success record of adult stem cell research?
