"The Shack" Author Brings Heresy to Evangelical Churches

Larry DeBruyn is the senior pastor of Franklin Road Baptist church, and author of Church on the Rise: Why I'm Not a Purpose Driven Pastor.

These are just a few of the problems with The Shack and its author, William Young, who is now on a speaking tour and is coming July 12 to one of Milwaukee, Wisconsin's largest mega-churches, Elmbrook Church.
For months, The Shack has been dominating the New York Times best seller list. Why? Even though it's an allegory, the book tugs upon the emotions of the reader because of the tragedy that's described when the main character's daughter is kidnapped, raped and killed.
