This edition of Crosstalk features Peter LaBarbera, the President and founder of Americans for Truth, giving an update on the current "Hate Crimes" legislation about to be passed into law.
H.R. 1913, the Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2009, has been reintroduced in Congress. This would give the government the power to extend extra legal protection to homosexuals, lesbians and cross-dressers.
Peter believes that such legislation merely sets up an environment for the banning of speech since homosexuals, lesbians and cross-dressers could claim that they are in danger of bodily harm just for hearing certain words that they deem as "hate speech".
Vic also makes note of recent blasphemous artistic efforts that deify Barack Obama by putting him in place of Jesus Christ.
