Parents Rights in Extreme Danger

Host:Vic Eliason
Guest:Brannon Howse
Listen:RealAudio | Windows Media | MP3 | Order Tape or CD

Brannon Howse is the President of Worldview Weekends and Publisher of Christian Worldview Network.
As an individual keen on helping Christians obtain and maintain a Christian worldview, Brannon Howse has been keeping track of the progress that is being made toward the ratification of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.

This United Nations treaty exists to give children many of the same rights as adults, rights that parents would not be able to override. This would effectively negate the Western tradition that gives parents the proper disciplinary control in order to raise their children properly.

Brannon explains the various articles of this treaty; articles that deal with issues such as freedom of expression and religion, freedom of association, freedom of privacy, and what part the state will play in assisting parents in the raising of children.

With Democrats having a solid majority in Washington, could this treaty eventually become enforceable in America? What could this mean for the discipleship and education of our children? Will there be a process whereby authorities “check up” on parents concerning compliance?
