Andrew Walden is the Publisher and Editor of the Hawaii Free Press. His investigative reporting has resulted in several articles about Frank Marshall Davis and the Communist Party in Hawaii.
This Crosstalk takes a brief look at Frank Marshall Davis, a man Walden says became a mentor to Barack Obama when he was living in Hawaii at age 9. Walden describes Davis as having been a card carrying member of the Communist Party U.S.A. as well as a pornographer. He came up within the political system in Chicago before moving to Hawaii.
