Joe Murray served as Pat Buchanan's National Director of Correspondence during his 1999 presidential bid. After receiving his law degree, Murray went to Tupelo, Mississippi, where he assumed his position as staff attorney for the American Family Association Center for Law & Policy. Murray has also worked with the Philadelphia based Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE) and the Scottsdale based Alliance Defense Fund (ADF).

Joe is a conservative national columnist with The Bulletin, a weekly newspaper published in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Joe appeared on Crosstalk to discuss the Republican National Convention along with the plethora of issues related to the Republican strategy that seeks to push the McCain/Palin ticket into the White House. Points discussed include:

--What is the greatest concern of the Republicans heading into the convention?

--Did McCain make the right decision in picking Governor Sarah Palin as his running mate?

--Palin is trying to balance the duties of a large family while maintaining a career in politics. How will this, combined with the recent news of her daughter's pregnancy, play out at the convention?

--Will the Democrats zone in on Palin's lack of experience or will they back away from that point based upon Obama's own lack of experience?

--What does the latest Gallup Poll say concerning McCain and Obama?

--How would a Democratic administration affect the deficit?

--How does Joe view the press coverage thus far?

--Can McCain draw social conservatives or will third party candidates pull some very conservtive voters away from him?

--What things do the Republicans need to concentrate on in order to give McCain the "push" he needs in these last 10 weeks leading up to the election?
