Tim Chaffey holds a M.Div. degree specializing in Apologetics and Theology from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary, and lives in southwestern Wisconsin with his wife, Casey, and two children. He holds a B.S. and M.A. in Biblical & Theological Studies, and is the founder and director of Midwest Apologetics. He is the co-author of the book, Old-Earth Creationism on Trial: The Verdict is In.
Old-Earth Creationism on Trial attempts to look at arguments that old-earth creationists supposedly take from Scripture. It's set up like a trial with both a prosecution and a defense. Under this format, evolutionary arguments are cross-examined and a response is given with a spirit of gentleness and respect.
This edition of Crosstalk covers a lot of ground as Tim explains the following questions and more through the lens of Scripture:
-How does a six-day creation point to the nature and character of God?
-How does Charles Darwin fit into the evolutionary scheme?
-How do creationists come to their young-earth date conclusion?
-What does the word "day" really mean in Genesis chapter 1?
-Are plants alive in the same sense as humans and animals?
-Why do some people believe that young-earth creationism hinders evangelism?
