University of Destruction

David Wheaton is a speaker, radio talk show host, former world-class tennis professional and author. In 2005 his first book was released entitled: University of Destruction: Your Game Plan for Spiritual Victory on Campus.

The main thrust of this program centers around David's 3 'Pillars of Peril" that he lays out from his book. They are:

1. Sexual Immorality--(The Battle for the Body)--Many colleges mandate that incoming freshman have to live in a co-ed dormitory.

2. Battle for the Spirit--(Drugs and Alcohol) 1700 students die of alcohol related accidents each year on campus.

3. Battle for the Mind-(Humanism)--On many college campuses science is God, man is king, and evolutionary theory and moral relativism are prominent.

Since incoming freshmen have to face these perils, it's no wonder that as many as 50% of college students say that they have lost their faith after being in college for three or four years.

In response David also delves into the dating game, professing vs. possessing Christians, the perils at Christian college campuses, the game plan for raising your spiritual "grade point average" while on campus, and the four "C's" that refer to being an overcomer.
