California Home School Decision / Hallmark Gay Card Promotion

After opening with the latest news concering the Democratic National Convention taking place in Denver, Colorado, Jim Schneider introduced Chris Klicka, Senior Counsel with the Home School Legal Defense Association. He appeared during the first quarter hour of Crosstalk to discuss recent home school challenges in the states of California and Pennsylvania, as well as a challenge with the Army.
The remainder of this Crosstalk dealt with Hallmark Card Company. Last year they released "coming out" cards for homosexuals and more recently they decided to offer a selection of greeting cards celebrating same-sex marriages and civil unions. This is being done, in spite of the fact that same-sex marriages are legal in only two states in America. In a statement from Hallmark's public relations department read by Jim, Hallmark claims that the release of the same-sex marriage cards is due to consumer demand.
