Joe Healy is a pro-lifer who witnessed a mass arrest of pro-lifers this weekend in Maryland, while Cheryl Sullenger is the Senior Policy adviser with Operation Rescue of Wichita, Kansas.
Operation Rescue is one of the leading pro-life Christian activist organizations in the nation. Operation Rescue recently made headlines when it bought and closed an abortion clinic in Wichita, Kansas, and has become the voice of the pro-life activist movement in America. Operation Rescue seeks to restore legal personhood to the pre-born and stop abortion in obedience to biblical mandates.
Joe appeared during the first quarter hour of the program to comment on the August 1, Face the Truth Tour in Bel Air, Maryland.
At one point during the tour, a group of pro-lifers, demonstrating peacefully, moved down the road as they were told to do. Soon after, and without warning, Hartford County State Troopers arrived in an estimated 20 patrol cars and began arresting the pro-lifers who were on public property. They were arrested without word as to their rights or what they were being charged with. 18 in all were arrested.
Cheryl Sullenger occupied the second quarter hour of the program with a story of her own.
On Saturday August 2, a man named Tim, was protesting at Clinica Medica Para La Mujer, a Santa Ana, California, abortion clinic. He was attempting to get a picture of a particular abortionist because he was given word that this abortionist may have been operating illegally. After waiting until the end of the day to get a better photograph, Tim positioned himself to take a picture from the public sidewalk as the abortionist was about to drive away. At that juncture, the abortionist got out of his car and allegedly attacked Tim.
Callers contribute to the remaining portion of the program, presenting their views on this extremely vital issue.
