Relevant, Real or Purpose Driven?
| Host: | Vic Eliason |

Vic Eliason began with news from South Dakota where the United States Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit, through a 7-4 decision, will allow the state to enforce a law requiring abortion providers to tell women in writing that the procedure will terminate the life of a whole, separate, unique, living human being.
In another story, Vic told of a Joseph Bardwell, the Chairman and President of a movie production company entitled, In Jesus' Name Productions. Bardwell is advocating for the graphic display of sin in Christian movies in order to supposedly show the contrast between the old life and the new.
This is an example of a move afoot within Christianity that claims we have to be "real" in order to reach the unchurched. The result is that today, some Christians, including some pastors, feel it's "real" to look and sound vulgar.
Is this "real" movement and the desire to feel comfortable and to be entertained perhaps just another name for the Purpose Driven Movement? Vic and callers discuss this possibility on this edition of Crosstalk.
