Obama Seeks to Woo Evangelicals

Dr. Gary Cass is a minister in the Presbyterian Church in America who in 2004, became the Executive Director for The Center for Reclaiming America for Christ at the late D. James Kennedy's Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church. Dr. Cass is the author of the book, Gag Order, and co-author of The Bible and the Black Board. He is currently the Director of the Christian Anti-Defamation Commission.
There is a move by Barack Obama to woo evangelicals to his viewpoint. Dr. Cass calls this false Christianity campaign, "The Audacity of Deceit." He believes it's the culmination of a very concerted effort on the part of theological and political liberals to hijack and deconstruct the Christian faith. In this way liberals can say that they are the true Christians while at the same time seeking to destroy the foundations of the faith.
Dr. Cass reviews an example of this, based upon a speech that Obama made some years ago before a liberal group called, "The Call to Renewal". Referring to Obama's comments from that speech, Dr. James Dobson of Focus on the Family recently took Obama to task for what he feels were distortions of Scripture. Obama responded by calling James Dobson a liar and claimed that Dobson's making things up.
Overall, this Crosstalk exposes Obama's continued efforts at obfuscation which is also seen when he tries to defend his distorted view of the Bible, while at the same time trailing a 100% voting record in favor of abortion behind him. In the words of Dr. Cass, Obama, "...is not a Christian by any historic or biblical standards that we've come to accept after 2,000 years of church history."
