Justin Peters is a staff evangelist at First Baptist Church of Vicksburg, Mississippi.
Justin reminds listeners that there will be those who will do signs and wonders in Jesus' name, but that doesn't mean the miracles are of God. Nonetheless, the Word-Faith movement, which Justin believes has its origins in the metaphysical cults, continues to place a heavy emphasis on the miraculous and supernatural, while twisting Scripture to buttress its case.
For example, the Word-Faith movement teaches that when Adam was created he was another Yahweh. When Adam fell and lost his deity, it was transferred to Satan. Then the real Yahweh was kicked out of planet earth and now has no access unless we give it to him. So when a person gets saved in Word-Faith theology, he regains the godhood or deity that Adam lost. This is why they hold tightly to health and wealth, because they believe we are "gods" and a "god" cannot be poor, nor can he be sick.
This heretical exegesis of Scripture by Word-Faith leaders becomes clear as Ingrid and Justin dissect various audio segments from a few of the movers and shakers of the movement. Cuts are played featuring Creflo Dollar, who believes that Christians are little "gods"; Gloria Copeland, who claims that Christians can control the weather; and Benny Hinn, who believes that it is as easy to receive healing as it is to receive forgiveness for sin.
