Jim opened this edition of Crosstalk with two interesting news stories.
The first story detailed a school principal in South Carolina who announced that he was planning to resign following a demand to launch a student club that would promote homosexuality.
The second story dealt with the Libertarian Party and the announcement that former congressman Bob Barr would be their candidate for the upcoming presidential election.
Guest Mark Crutcher is the Founder and President of Life Dynamics in Denton, Texas.
Mark Crutcher has been an outspoken and uncompromising opponent of abortion. In 1986, he created the Life Activist Seminar and trained more than 15,000 pro-life activists all across the United States and Canada. Then, in 1992, he founded Life Dynamics which has since become widely recognized as one of the most innovative and professional pro-life organizations in America.
Mark believes we have been betrayed by political candidates so many times over the years as they tell us about how concerned they are about unborn children but then once they get into office, we don't hear from them for another four years. He believes that abortion won't end in Washington D.C. until it ends in our local communities. Washington D.C. is not in the business of solving moral problems. He feels we tend to get too excited when we get someone elected that's pro-life, yet we tend to get overly depressed when we get a politician elected who's pro-abortion.
Mark admits that if Clinton or Obama were to get elected, this would be a setback to the pro-life movement. On the other hand, he also admits that McCain wouldn't be the savior. However, he also noted that the pro-life movement isn't paying enough attention to other issues such as the issue of national health care. Both Obama and Clinton have made it clear that they favor a socialized medicine system and Mark believes that this system will pay for elective abortions. This means that all Americans will be picking up the tab for the slaughter of unborn children, an abortion rate that will skyrocket once abortions are free.
Jim brought up Habitat for Humanity, who, as reported on yesterday's Crosstalk, is involved in a joint partnership with Planned Parenthood in Florida. Mark responded by noting that this shows the tentacles that Satan extends, even into the church. He feels abortion would not exist in America without the complicity of the church and that if the church would stand up and say abortion will stop, it would, in fact, end.
Mark reviewed his undercover operation that showed how Planned Parenthood and the National Abortion Federation are operating a nationwide pedophile protection racket. He also gave details over what he feels is the political corruption in the State of Kansas; the hold that the abortion lobby has on these individuals; as well as explaining how abortionists can seem to do almost anything yet still not be accused of violating medical standards of care.
