Reverend Jesse Lee Peterson is the founder and president of the national non-profit organization known as B.O.N.D. This stands for the Brotherhood Organization of a New Destiny. It's purpose is to rebuild the family by rebuilding the man. Peterson is also a nationally syndicated radio talk show host, TV host, and author of the just released book entitled, Scam: How the Black Leadership Exploits Black America.
Senator and presidential candidate Barack Obama is said to have sat under the teaching of controversial Pastor Jeremiah Wright Jr. for 20 years at Trinity United Church of Christ. Peterson believes that because the New Black Panther Party agrees with Wright's style of hate speech, America should be concerned about having someone like Obama in the White House.
Is there a connection between the comments and theology of Jeremiah Wright Jr. and Louis Farrakhan? What are we to make of racist comments by Malik Zulu Shabazz, the national chairman of the New Black Panther Party? What's Black Liberation Theology all about?
This Crosstalk answers these questions, but more importantly, Jesse Lee Peterson presents the biblical answer to the crisis in the black community and how his organization is working that out in everyday life.
