Many people may feel that the National Right to Life organization speaks as one voice for everyone involved in the pro-life movement. Steve Curtis, the president of American Right to Life, joined Vic Eliason on this edition of Crosstalk to show how being pro-life doesn't necessarily mean a person or organization follows God's principles in every aspect of this important matter.

According to Steve, the problem is that although National Right to Life started out for the right reason in the early 70's as a response to the Roe v. Wade decision, it has become partisan and political at the expense of the unborn.

Steve explains how National Right to Life has been suggesting that pro-lifers should get behind certain pieces of legislation that end with "...and you can kill the baby." For example, there's the issue of parental consent. Obtain that, then you can kill the baby. Another example is waiting periods. Wait 24 hours, then you can kill the baby. There's informed consent. Read this pamphlet or watch this video, then you can kill the baby.

By acting this way, Steve believes that what National Right to Life has done, unintentionally or not, is to put hundreds and hundreds of laws on the books on a state by state basis, so that if Roe is ever overturned, these other laws would still be on the books allowing abortion in all 50 states as long as certain regulations are followed.

This Crosstalk also discusses Ann Coulter and Rush Limbaugh and why they claimed that Mitt Romney was the conservative alternative to John McCain; what affect an Obama or Clinton presidency would have on abortion; what factor has made the largest impact in the abortion battle; where National Right to Life stands on the "morning after pill," and more.
