Ethan Pope is the Founder and President of Foundations for Living and is also the author of the book, Creating Your Personal Money Map.
Ethan espouses a money mapping system, a key aspect of which is the theology of budgeting. This involves acknowledging that God owns it all. That makes us stewards as we oversee our income and are faithful in that regard. The result is freedom, removal of stress, and the ability to hit goals.
A very important point that Ethan touches upon is the aspect of giving, a step outlined in Proverbs 3. Here it talks about first-fruits, which shows that God needs to be a priority in giving.
Common budgeting myths are also debunked such as: "I don't have enough money to budget," "Budgets are too complex," and "I don't have the personality to budget."
Other aspects of proper money management include: living within your God-given means, developing a crisis fund, capital gains, and IRA distributions.
