Robert W. Peters is the President of Morality in Media.
Robert began the program by discussing White Ribbons Against Pornography week, October 28-November 4 The idea for this campaign goes back to 1987 and the city of Butler, Pennsylvania, where a woman named Norma Norris heard a sermon in her church on the subject of pornography. Her pastor commented that local law enforcement was of the impression that the local citizens weren't all that concerned about the pornography being sold in the community.
Norma disagreed and with her marketing and public relations background she came up with the idea for the White Ribbons Against Pornography campaign. With her permission, Morality in Media took the concept to the national level.
This campaign is a simple way for individuals to make a statement against pornography. No fanfare is necessary. Robert noted that you can wear a white ribbon lapel pin, put a white ribbon on a door handle, or even around a tree or a car antenna.
Vic and Robert branch off into a discussion of community standards, the need for laws to protect public morality, how families can keep the "sewer spigot" turned off in their homes, and more.
