What exactly does your Bible mean to you? If yours was taken away without your knowledge, how soon would you miss it? If you had no Bible, and no car, and the closest way to get a Bible was via a 50 mile round trip, and you had no shoes, what would you do?
With these questions in mind, Ingrid introduced Sherry Goodwin. Sherry resides in Des Moines, Iowa. She is a women's speaker, she has worked for the governor of Iowa, and is currently retired. She has 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Ingrid asked the questions above because they deal with Sherry's narrative of the book, Mary Jones and Her Bible. This is the story of a Welsh girl from the late 1700's whose great desire to own a Bible helped to form the British and Foreign Bible Society, an organization that has published over 4 million Bibles in 291 languages.
Mary Jones and Her Bible, from Old Paths Gospel Press, is offered on this edition of Crosstalk at the address and phone number listed below.
