Jim Schneider opened this edition of Crosstalk with news that Pat Robertson has endorsed Rudy Giuliani for president while Senator Brownback has endorsed Senator John McCain for the presidency.
Throughout this broadcast, Jim allowed listeners to hear portions of the debate concerning the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA), live from the floor of the House.
Christopher Klicka is the Senior Counsel as well as Director of State and International Relations with the Home School Legal Defense Association.
Home schooling was not always legal in America, even as late as the 1980's and early 90's. In spite of the gains made, stories of persecution still appear. Chris relates two amazing stories based upon anonymous tips. One concerns a home schooling mother from Florida who ran into problems with authorities in New York City, and the other details the account of a family from Arizona.
Other items mentioned include vaccinations among home school children, and Christopher's latest book entitled, Home School Heroes: The Struggle and Triumph of Home Schooling in America.
