Brannon Howse is an author and speaker, and is the President and Founder of the Christian Worldview Network and Worldview Weekends.
Some Christians today are so ambitious about wanting to fix social problems that they are willing to compromise the gospel. One example cited by Brannon is Purpose Driven book author and pastor Rick Warren who is bringing in Hillary Clinton for his upcoming Global Summit on AIDS and the Church.
Brannon believes that if elected, Clinton will be in favor of the Employment Non-Discrimination Act which would force numerous types of organizations not under the auspices of a denomination to hire transgenders; that she'd favor hate crimes legislation, the Fairness Doctrine, and then there's the judges she'd likely support. As a Christian, how does Rick Warren feel he can come together with such a person to find common ground?
This point is the basis for interesting discussion that looks at the people on the front lines of the social gospel movement and the effect it's having on the church.
