Paul Washer is the Founder and Director of HeartCry Missionary Society.
Paul believes that today we are seeing a dumbing down of the gospel and certain doctrines, particularly the radical depravity of the human heart. This is shown in the gospel reductionism that is the order of the day. The apostle Paul, however, makes it clear that the gospel alone is the power of God. That power does not rest in our attempts to tweak biblical evangelism.
Paul notes that the gospel doesn't begin with man, it begins with God and who He is. If God is just he cannot forgive you. Because of our sin nature He had to first satisfy his own wrath, a wrath that was taken full-force in our place by His Son, Jesus.
It's this straight forward, no-silliness approach to the gospel that Paul and other speakers will be bringing to the Reality Check Youth Conference sponsored by Anchored in Truth Ministries. The conference will be taking place December 28-30 in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
