Abortion/Breast Cancer Link

Host:Vic Eliason
Guest:Karen Malec
Listen:RealAudio | Windows Media | MP3 | Order Tape or CD

Karen Malec is the President of the Coalition on Abortion/Breast Cancer, an organization that came together in 1999 in the Chicago area. They came together because they were concerned about research, dating back to 1957, that links induced abortion with an increased risk for breast cancer.

On this edition of Crosstalk, Karen also informs women about statistics showing that women who have more full term pregnancies, and that breast feed their babies longer, have the lowest risk of breast cancer.

There's an interesting twist that comes forth within this subject. Many women who lead breast cancer organizations are apparently ignoring the abortion/breast cancer link because they came to their positions from the abortion industry. This includes women who came from Planned Parenthood, the American Civil Liberties Union, NARAL Pro-Choice America, and other abortion advocacy organizations. This shows that these women have a conflict of interest and brings into question how much they really care about women's health.
