Bob Marette is the president of the Financial Health Fair and author of the book, From a Millstone to a Milestone.
The average amount of personal credit card debt is from 9-15 thousand dollars. That's what makes this Crosstalk of vital importance as it brings practical, biblically based advice for helping people get out from under the burden of debt that unfortunately is so common today.
The problem of debt often begins with unsolicited offers for credit cards that come via the mail. It's not that credit cards are bad, it's just that according to Bob, people will tend to spend 33% more throughout a month if they use a credit card instead of cash or a check.
Bob then moves on to describe a number of principles for getting out of debt, discusses car buying tips, and also provides information regarding debt as it pertains to college education.
