Volunteering
| Host: | Vic Eliason |
| Listen: | RealAudio | Windows Media | MP3 | Order Tape or CD |
On the first part of this program, which originates at the VCY America's Trail Ridge Ranch in Southwest Wisconsin, Vic Eliason interviewed several volunteers working this week at the camp. They are among about 48 people affiliated with Volunteers in Mission, ranging in age from teens to senior citizen, who use their skills and experience to help Christian ministries across the country.
The need for their work at Trail Ridge at this time was enhanced by a series of torrential rainstorms this past weekend that caused flooding and other damage.
During the last half of the program, callers told of ways they have volunteered, and of how they found themselves being blessed as much or more than the people they were helping. Many helped in nursing homes, some provided meals or rides to those who needed them, and some just looked for people to encourage.
Other listeners were encouraged to consider ways they can help others as volunteers.
