Randall Gilmore is the Senior Pastor of Hamilton Hills Baptist Church in Fishers, Indiana. Pastor Gilmore is also author of the book, Where Do We Go From Here--The Path to Biblically Resolving Conflict.
As Christians we experience conflict with each other. The question is, how do we resolve it?
For years Pastor Gilmore was frustrated with how believers in his own church were handling conflict with him, others in the church or in the community. He enrolled in a graduate program at Western Michigan University where he took a course on conflict management. From that point on he was "hooked" as he sought to study the Bible's view of this matter in tandem with what people were writing in the secular realm.
Why don't Christians follow the obvious conflict resolution information found in the Bible? According to Pastor Gilmore it starts with what happened at the Fall of Man. At the time there were three relationships; the relationship God had with Adam, the relationship God had with Eve, and the relationship that Adam and Eve had with each other. All three of those relationships were affected by the Fall and since that time, the repair and restoration of relationships has been an ongoing theme of the work that God is trying to do in our lives.
