David Wheaton is the author of the book, University of Destruction: Your Game Plan for Victory on Campus.
David was one of the top professional tennis players in the world, winning the Grand Slam cup as well as attaining a world ranking of #12 during his career. He won against legends like Andre Agassi, Ivan Lendl, Jim Courier, Jimmy Connors and others at Wimbledon, the French Open and the U.S. Open.
David describes how, in spite of growing up in a Christian home, he strayed far from his Christian moorings beginning in his teen years. This attitude continued at Stanford University, a school he attended on a tennis scholarship.
David eventually became a born-again believer. He has written the book, University of Destruction as a clarion call to students regarding what David refers to as the "Pillars of Peril" that can await them on college campuses. These pillars are those aspects of college life that if left unchallenged, can dismantle the Christian worldview of students, not only at secular colleges, but at some Christian colleges as well. The good news is that with this book, students can put together a game plan that will allow them to face these challenges and have spiritual victory.
