Colorado Pro-Life Ballot Initiative

This edition of Crosstalk continued to carry over the theme from the July 5th program, that being the broadening evangelical compromise in America in areas such as abortion, and how this may affect the next presidential election.

This broadening by evangelicals is being fought, particularly by the featured guests on this program. Kristi Burton and Mark Meuser from Colorado for Equal Rights joined Ingrid to discuss a Colorado constitutional amendment that would define personhood as beginning at the moment of fertilization. Kristy sees this as important because in the original Roe case, Justice Harry Blackmun noted that if personhood would ever become established for the unborn child, the case for abortion would be destroyed.
