Code Blue State of the Church

Host:Ingrid Schlueter
Guest:Brannon Howse
Listen:RealAudio | Windows Media | MP3 | Order Tape or CD

Brannon Howse is founder and President of Worldview Weekends, which holds many weekend conferences each year, plus their new “Code Blue” free events on a Saturday or Sunday Evening, and several websites that provide resources for Christians to understand the times and contend for the Faith.

Brannon says we have not taught our young people to contend for the faith, or defend the faith. In fact many do not know what they believe, let alone why they believe it.

The Worldview Weekend conferences feature many solid and articulate speakers on many areas of today's culture who apply biblical standards, giving practical solutions for Christians to confront the culture, contend for the Faith, and reach out to both Christians and unbelievers with God's Good News.

The "Code Blue" one-night meetings were developed to provide an opportunity for many more people to experience the Worldview presentations, without the time and financial obligations of a full 2-day conference.

In addition, the same message has been placed on the Internet, and the audio and video presentations from Worldview events are augmented by online commentaries, and links to other sites that provide additional information.

Brannon stated that he has observed in recent years a change in the attendees at the "live" Worldview events. Instead of young people and families, the majority are retirees and "baby boomers". He is now considering limiting the live presentations, and concentrating more on the Internet sites in order to reach the younger generation.
