This edition of Crosstalk revolves around an Atlanta Journal Constitution article written by a liberal Baptist. The article criticizes a course of study at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, that teaches Christian homemaking.
Ingrid is joined by Terri Stovall, the Dean of Women's Studies at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. She describes the homemaking classes as being part of the Bachelor of Arts and Humanities Degree Program. Based upon Titus 2, this degree program not only covers Greek, Latin and Western thought and culture, but also covers areas such as child development, clothing and textiles, personal family management, along with food preparation and nutrition.
