Ron Rhodes is the President of Reasoning from the Scriptures Ministries and is the author of many book titles dealing with cults and false religions. He appeared on Crosstalk to discuss his book, The Ten Things You Need To Know About Islam.
Islam was founded by a businessman named Muhammad in the 6th and 7th centuries. One day while meditating, he claims the angel Gabriel appeared to him and told him to start reciting the Koranic literature he would provide for him. Over the next 23 years, the angel Gabriel allegedly showed up and regularly provided new parts of the Koran.
Interestingly, Islam is growing in spite of 9-11. In fact, today, one out of every 5 people on earth is of the Islamic faith.
Learn the difference between the Sunni and Shiite Muslims, the definite differences between Allah and the God of the Bible, how a Muslim obtains salvation, how Islamic theology describes Paradise and Hell, and information on how you can begin witnessing to Muslims.
