Christopher Slattery is the Founder and President of Expectant Mother Care Crisis Pregnancy Centers. They run 15 clinics in the New York City Area.
Christopher reminds listeners that we must distinguish between those technologies that destroy life, like embryonic stem cell research, and those that don't such as adult stem cell research.
If embryonic stem cell research was so promising, there wouldn't be the need for taxpayer funding. You'd think privately funded organizations would be falling all over each other to be the first to take advantage of this great new scientific discovery.
Something is certainly amiss when, as Jim Schneider points out, 73 different helps have come about through adult stem cell research, yet not one disease or ailment has benefited from embryonic stem cell research.
Also discussed is the Access to Birth Control Act. Christopher sees this as an effort to fool the American public into believing that more birth control equals fewer abortions. He believes that if some people insist on using birth control, let them get it on their own; that taxpayers should not be forced to subsidize this effort.
