False Teaching Within the Evangelical Church

This edition of Crosstalk exposes the entertainment mindset in the Church today, and how congregations are buying the lie that you have to entertain people in order to reach them. The result is that rather than lighting a light in the darkness, the church is becoming the darkness.
For example, Ingrid mentions an event coming up next week at Living Word Bible Church in Mesa, Arizona. They will be sponsoring a hip-hop night where singles will meet, fellowship and dance to Top-40, R&B, Old School, Hip-Hop, and Pop music.
Moving to the visual, it was noted how decades ago, when Christians often avoided major movie releases, these movies were tame compared to today's efforts. Ingrid notes how ironic it is that today, when movies are at their worst, some Churches are actually embracing the works of the movie industry for evangelism purposes. In fact, pastors can even get sermon topic suggestions and notes based on today's movies from specific sites on the Internet.
Also mentioned was the latest on Emerging Church author Brian McClaren and the attack on the born-again experience.
