Phyllis Schlafly is the Founder and President of Eagle Forum.
Phyllis believes that Senate Bill 1348, The Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act of 2007, is an outrage. She says that it would place an enormous tax burden on the middle class as it provides American style social benefits for illegal aliens, the majority of which are high school dropouts.
She notes how all illegal aliens committed a crime when they came here. Many of them also committed additional crimes through the use of fraudulent documents and stolen I.D.'s. According to Senate Bill 1348, these individuals would be given amnesty from these crimes, allowed to stay, and bring in an unlimited number of their remote relatives for the next 8 years.
