Abolishment of the Electoral College

The electoral college was the system designed by America's founders to elect our president. Unlike a straight popular vote, the electoral college allows for equal representation between large and small states. It's a system that has worked very well in America for over two centuries.

There is a movement afoot to do away with this system and it appears to be gaining momentum in states throughout the nation. Abolishing the electoral college and going to a popular vote system could give virtually unstoppable control over the White House to any coalition created within large population areas.
