U.N. Religious Blasphemy Resolution/Bible Elective

Ingrid began this program with two news items of interest:
The first item dealt with the United Nations and the passing of a defamation of religion resolution. The problem with such a resolution is that it can cause inividuals to confuse legitimate discussion of religious beliefs with the incitement of religious intolerance.
The second item concerned a three year old Christian satellite service that admits that it's difficult trying to find solid, non-apostate teachers to fill programming slots.
The remainder of the program dealt with the national trend to include the Bible as an elective course of study in public school curriculum. In these cases, the Bible is treated primarily as history or literature but because of the venue, it's not taught as the authoritative Word of God.
Ingrid presented her view and then took calls from listeners to see how they felt on this interesting issue.
