Pastor Jeff Noblit is the Senior Pastor-Teacher of First Baptist Church of Muscle Shoals, Alabama. Tom Clay is the Music and Worship Director.
Ingrid quoted A.W. Tozer who said that worship will never rise higher than a person's view of God.
Tom Clay echoed those sentiments as he noted how the music we use in worship is an outgrowth of the purity of the message coming from the pulpit. In other words, weak pulpits result in weak Christian music and worship.
Tom believes that in response to this there is a nationwide reformation taking place among younger people that are tired of the status quo in contemporary churches.
Pastor Noblit gave a description of the True Church Conference coming up May 3-6th at First Baptist Church. This is a gathering designed to inspire people to go back to a glory of God focused, Christ honoring, Bible saturated view of the Church..
Pastor Noblit then followed up with a discussion of the signs that signify a church that is sick and drifting away from the biblical model.
