Vic opened this edition of Crosstalk with updated numbers for the Sudan tower project. As of broadcast time the pledge total stood at $59,755 and the amount received was $52,525.
Walid Shoebat is a former PLO terrorist who is now a Bible believing Christian and a supporter of Israel and the Jews. He is the author of a number of books such as Why I Left Jihad and Why We Want to Kill You.
Although he grew up learning teachings of hatred toward Jews, Walid describes how in 1993 he studied the Jewish Bible in a challenge to convert his wife to Islam. He was particularly impacted by the Old Testament and the prophetic elements about Israel. From this he saw how he had the historical positioning of the Jews and the Muslims in reverse order.
Walid talks about his stateside activities for the Palestinians, how you can only understand the Koran by looking at its interpretation in the Hadith, what redemption is in Islam, if Islam is a religion of peace and more.
