Peter LaBarbera is the President of Americans for Truth, an organization devoted to exposing and countering the homosexual agenda.
Vic opened this edition of Crosstalk with audio from a 70 year old grandmother who was arrested in October of 2004 on the public streets of Philadelphia under Pennsylvania hate crimes laws. Her crime? She was considered guilty of hate for sharing the gospel at a homosexual rally.
This recording framed a discussion of federal hate crimes laws and specifically pending House Resolution (HR) 1592. There are 138 co-sponsors of this bill.
LaBarbera noted that in Britain and Canada, hate crimes laws are being used to stymie Christian speech. He believes that America is headed in the same direction therefore he encouraged listeners to contact their senators and congressmen and to express their feelings to President Bush as well.
