Vic Eliason began this edition of Crosstalk with sad news from Ethiopia. An Ethiopian evangelist named Tedase was savagely beaten to death by militant Muslims on Monday while conducting street evangelism. Vic encouraged listeners who wish to respond to call the Ethiopian embassy at the number listed below.
Stephen Bennett is the Founder and Executive Director of Stephen Bennett Ministries.
At Stephen Bennett Ministries they realize that homosexuality is not a simple issue. Stephen mentioned three reasons why this is true:
First of all, they believe that no individual is born homosexual and this is proven by science.
Secondly, they don't believe that individuals logically choose to be homosexual/have an attraction to the same sex.
Thirdly, they believe that homosexuality tragically develops in childhood but there is no cookie-cutter answer as to how and why that happens. It could be because of divorce, a death in the family, a physical abnormality, molestation, a broken father/son relationship, an overbearing mother, etc.
Stephen shares the miracle of God that brought him out of homosexuality, the attempt to create hate crimes legislation, and the upcoming Day of Silence.
