On February 17, 2005, two American border patrol agents in the El Paso, Texas area attempted to apprehend a drug smuggler who was driving a van loaded with 743 pounds of marijuana. The drug dealer left his vehicle and managed to escape across the border. The smuggler wasn't believed to have been hit after being shot at, but in fact, he had been hit in the buttocks.
The two border patrol agents are sitting in federal prison for 11 and 12 years each. They have been charged with aggravated assault.
The smuggler was given immunity by the U.S. government and wound treatment at government expense. He has a U.S. attorney and is suing the border patrol for 5 million dollars.
Since that time, high level testimony given against these agents has been found to be unsubstantiated. Dr. Corsi explains this and other disturbing aspects of this national security case.
