Rejuveniles

Ingrid opened this edition of Crosstalk by mentioning a book entitled, Rejuvenile, by Christopher Noxon. This book describes the new breed of adult immaturity in America.

Ingrid discussed some examples of this attempt at the extension of youth and the trends it's creating. These trends include people that are putting off marriage, more that are living longer with their parents, and others that are getting involved in activities that in years past were the exclusive domain of adolescents.

This has serious ramifications for the family. For example, if parents won't grow up and realize that increasing age requires a new set of priorities, can they expect their children to respect and obey them or adults in general?

Also, if America continues to nurture a generation of adult adolescents, who will society be able to turn to for wisdom and guidance? These are traits that the Bible says are to come from the "grey heads" of life.
