Larry Pratt is the Executive Director of Gun Owners of America, a national membership organization dedicated to promoting the second amendment right to keep and bear arms.
The primary discussion surrounded House Resolution 297, an expansion of the Brady Bill. According to Larry, under this legislation, state governments would be looking for individuals who are deemed not eligible to own a gun.
For example, this would include people that have minor misdemeanor convictions, even individuals that have been indicted, not even convicted, or veterans who may have post-battle stress and have been sent for a mental checkup.
The idea here is that all relevant information for the federal government to determine who is not qualified to own a gun is to be sent to the FBI's federal computer database.
