Chris Slattery is the founder of Expectant Mother Care (EMC).
Chris disappointingly noted how there was no mention of life or family in president Bush's address to the nation. He does, however, feel Christians can count on the president for vetos that will be essential when upcoming pro-abortion legislation reaches congress.
How is EMC different from other crisis pregnancy outreaches? In addition to six centers in the New York area, one of their ideas involves utilizing a 32 foot converted mobile home with an ultrasound machine built in so that women can see the child they are carrying. He envisions more than one, thereby forming a "fleet for little feet."
Chris believes that the greatest needs of crisis pregnancy centers are the time, money and prayers of good people. So he recommends going to the phone book to look up abortion alternative organizations, calling them, and offering your help.
