Protecting Our Families Against Media Smut
| Host: | Ingrid Schlueter |

Robert Peters is President of Morality in Media, a watchdog group that works to combat obscenity and uphold decency standards in the media.
The continuing battle to protect our families, especially our children, from prurient material in all forms of media was discussed, including not only the electronic and film media, but especially supermarket magazines and tabloids, billboards, displays at shopping malls, and even books in schools.
The guest, the host, and callers discussed a number of methods to monitor what is happening that is objectionable, and then to speak out and work to minimize and remove smut from places where children are influenced. These included turning objectionable magazines around so the cover is not visible, choosing to take your business elsewhere, but also speaking up to let the store know why you refuse to patronize that store.
