Christopher J. Farrell is Director of Investigations and Research with Judicial Watch, a public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption.
Vic's conversation with Farrell began with the topic of Bill Clinton and his "Chinagate" fundraising campaign. According to Farrell, back in 1996, the Clinton administration decided to sell taxpayer financed trade mission seats in exchange for campaign donations. In this case, the trade missions dealt primarily with the nation of China.
Since that time, America has found itself with a trade deficit approaching 800 billion dollars with China. In addition, China owns about one-third of our debt. This is an economically tenuous position for America that Farrell believes is racing us economically to the bottom. To put it more specifically, Farrell is concerned that America is stripping itself down to dollar stores and hamburger joints.
Also discussed was Judicial Watch's top ten list of corrupt politicians and their six dishonorable mentions list.
