This program featured excerpts from William Federer's message at the November 4, 2006 VCY Rally, in which he told how the first Thanksgiving came about, going all the way back to the days of the Roman Empire, and tracing the history of the church and western civilization up to the beginnings of colanization of the new world.
He then gave some details about the Pilgrims arrival and early years at Plymouth, and later developments that set the stage for the United States of America, and the history of Thanksgiving and other prayer proclamations of Presidents and other leaders.
